The golden silence of the Florida dawn, where sunlight shimmers off the surface and treasure lie below. There are few more beautiful sights in America, and few less treacherous seas. Hundreds of shipwrecks litter the ocean floor. Right here is the hump that we were looking for at the bottom. Captain Mark Palmer believes these hazy sonar images could be the wreckages of 'The Deliverance', a Spanish galleon destroyed in a hurricane. Divers already think they've found lead casing and coins from the ship, clues in the hunt for the world's richest treasure trove. Our research shows us that the value of that boat would be in today's value $3 - $4 billion, which would be by far the largest treasure ship that has ever been brought up. It's a hazardous search 200 feet below the waves, an what can look from sonar images like cannons from the ship often turns out to be junk. The trouble is that even if the divers see the sunken treasure, they're not allowed to touch it. The American government won't let them, following strong complaints from Spain. 'The Deliverance' was carrying 17 chests of gold bullion and 15,000 pieces of eight. The legal dilemma: who owns it? If the ship is as they have described and was carrying Spanish government property, then that is Spanish government property and may not be disturbed without the consent of Spain. One person has already had his hands on the treasure, shrimp fisherman Lamar Clark. In the early 70s, his nets hauled up 30 barnacle-encrusted silver bars.
